Synopsis
It is the story of Jassi (Ajay Devgn) -peace loving, a happy-go-lucky Sardar, who lives in London trying to make a living. He gets to know of his ancestral property back home in Punjab which he wants to sell off to shape up his pockets. Jassi embarks on a journey which takes him through a startling situation leaving the audience in peals of laughter.
While coming to Punjab from London, Jassi meets Meet (Sonakshi Sinha) and love happens! Twist of fate and series of incidents take him to her house where he faces the most unexpected. He comes within an arm's distance of his worst enemy ever- the heavy weight Billu Paji (Sanjay Dutt) who is also the head of Meet's family. Jassi has been clueless of this feud that had started three generations ago between his family and Billu Paji's family. Billu Paji had sworn to kill the next surviving member of Jassi's family, twenty five years back. He is a man of words, has a track record of killing 49 people & Jassi is the potential fiftieth victim in line. Hell breaks loose as Billu Paji finds out Jassi's parentage. Jassi too gets an inkling of the peril he is stuck into but thanks to another big fat belief system he finds a saving grace. Billu Paji and his family strictly adhere to Atithi Devo Bhavah! A guest at home is to be treated like God even if he is their worst enemy, outside the premise of the house- only God can help them!
A situation- a trap- catch 22- our dear Jassi tries to find defense. Safety guaranteed inside and Billu Paji with his henchmen of 25 butchers waiting outside. Sad plight…running away from his enemies will prove costlier than staying with them. Staying with them is also not so bad, after all, Meet brings love into his life and its Meet's house too. To be or not to be is the question?
A cat and mouse game begins, Jassi tries by all means to stay put, while Billu Paji wants to fish him out. Confusion, drama, comedy and craze reach a crescendo with never seen before action sequences.
Will enmity end or crazy slaughtering continues? Will the peace loving Jassi, quench Billu's raging desire for revenge through this comedy of layers? Will Meet and Jassi's love story see a happy ending?
A very urban film, Son of Sardar is a family entertainer where you can't help but love the characters. It promises entertainment to one and all.
